CAMEROUNIAN REFUGEE FINDS FORTUNE IN NIGERIA_Ada Nkong

For some people, the saying , life is not a bed of roses is real. Yvonne Ndaga is one such person. Her personal crisis which includes a stormy childhood, losing two consecutive babies and being denied a visa, dovetailed into the Southern Cameroun Crisis gave her every excuse to go downhill.

Like the Titan she is however, she chose to express her discomfort by way of acquiring more education leading to a degree, a higher diploma in nursing and a stint in Pastoral school.

More impressive however is that she not only found her way to Nigeria after transversing four countries but was able to work her way up from Hawking a combination of soya beans and almond to being a highly valued teacher in a reputable school.

The latest of her feats is the publication of a book ” Concieve it and give time its place”whose launch saw dignitaries from all works of life ,honoring her and pouring encomiums on her.

Her story is a classical example of making lemonade out of the lemon life throws at you.

According to the reviewer of the book Ojong Bichene, the book is” one which causes the reader to focus on the psychosocial aspect of life”.
