Odion Jude Ighalo has been rated among the best strikers the Super Eagles has ever produced. With 33 matches,15 goals and 3 assists to his credit, the striker has penned his name in the league of best strikers to have played in the national team.
The highpoint of his career was when he became the highest goal scorer of the just concluded AFCON tournament in Egypt with 5 goals.
Speaking tojournalists, the Nigerian International who made AFCON best 11 of the tournament, when asked how feels to be rated among the best Super Eagles strikers of all times, he said, “I’m happy and it’s a privilege to be mentioned among some of the great players I watched and adored while growing up. Honestly, its quite amazing and it’s a thing of joy to me. I was only destined by God to be part of those great players”.
“As for being the highest goal scorer of AFCON 2019, it was a dream that eventually came to past through hard work”, he added.
The former Julius Berger striker concluded by saying, “I am on my way to fast recovery for the tasks ahead”.
