Some public hospitals resort to borrowing equipment in order to pass accreditation by the regulating authorities. HOSPITAL MANAGERS and CONSULTANTS borrow equipment which is then returned to the owners after using it to fool the accreditation committee.
This practice is wrong and we are only shooting ourselves in the foot. It means that the doctors who are being trained have been severely short-changed and patients are done a great disservice.
If instead you own up and tell the hospital management about equipment and services you require to pass the accreditation tests, they may be forced to buy and so enable you to train young doctors adequately. Your patients will also thank you and repay by using the service.
