What’s in it for me is killing Nigeria. Everyone asking for their cut before providing a service is detrimental to the growth of Nigeria. MONETISING what you do for Nigeria and seeking for cash entitlements is causing tremendous harm to all of us.
A company wanted to site a high class diagnostic facility in Nigeria. But, government officials asking for kickbacks (what’s in it for me?) meant the company took their business elsewhere. So, you may gain now but you will lose in a much bigger way in the future as we miss out on crucial development projects of benefit to the nation.
We all lose!
