There is a fire outbreak currently raging in the popular Balogun market, Lagos Island.
According to a sources, the building on fire is a shopping plaza at No. 43, Martins Street, Lagos Island.
According to videos shared on social media, the fire is seen billowing from the building in the crowded market.
Some traders are seen salvaging their goods while others are lamenting the havoc wreaked by the fire.
As at the time of this report, Firemen from the Lagos State Fire Service have arrived at the scene alongside other security officers to put out the fire.
