There was mild drama at the new railway yard at Ebute Meta early this morning as a young man apparently in his early thirties was seen bound hand and foot sitting stark naked in the dust.
Sources say the man, name withheld , had disguised himself to steal a train battery at the railway yard. He ran out of luck when he was spotted by a guard and interrogated as to why hr was climbing onto the train.
The suspect feigned drunkenness and allegedly told the guards that hr always pulled off his clothes when he drinks
Attempts to get the suspect’s side of the story proved abortive as he kept giving conflicting statements .
as at the time of this report, he had been handed over to the police for further questioning.
