The Abuja Municipal Area Council, Amac has ordered an immediate closure of all markets within the council’s jurisdiction as part of effort to curtail the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

According to a statement by Council’s Secretary, Mrs. Rahmat Abdullahi, “the closure is inline with the federal government directives in keeping social distance and movement restriction to stop the spread of the virus”.
The council Also called on trade unions and security agencies to ensure compliance of order to avoid sanction.
