Following President Muhhamadu Buhari’s directives that a lock down be effected in Lagos, Ogun state and the FCT to curtail the spread of Covid-19 from 11 pm Monday ,the police have blocked the inbound and outbound sections of the Lagos-Ibadan express way.
The President had directed the cessation of all movements in Lagos and the FCT for an initial period of 14 days with effect from 11pm on Monday, 30th March 2020.
The President extended the restriction to Ogun State due to its close proximity to Lagos and the high volume of traffic between the two States.
Security operatives have taken to the streets to ensure that the curfew is obeyed.
All over the world, countries are effecting lockdowns to help achieve social distancing and halt the spread of the corona virus.
