The Federal government has extended the ease of the partial lockdown in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun by two weeks citing the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria.
Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha who spoke during the daily briefing said the decision became necessary because of the increasing number of cases in the country.
According to him, the extension which will begin on Tuesday will last till the first week of June.
Mustapha added that the 8.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. curfew put in place by the government would still be in place.
