The Accident Investigation Bureau has released the final report of the February 2, 2019 helicopter accident in Kogi involving the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and three other accidents.
Earlier, the AIB had said the crew lost visual contact with the ground at about 50 feet owing to dust generated when landing on a sandy area.
The new report made available on Tuesday, however says the incident was as a result of human error.
Recall that the Agusta Westland helicopter conveying the Vice President and 11 others crashed in the Kabba area of Kogi State during the 2019 presidential election campaign.
After the chopper managed by Caverton Helicopter landed at the township stadium, its propeller suddenly pulled off to the surprise of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who had gathered to welcome the Vice President.
