The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission for a second term of five years.
The confirmation came on tuesday following the consideration of the report of the Senator Kabiru Gaya led Senate Committee on INEC, which submitted its report at plenary and recommended Yakubu for confirmation.
According to the senators, he is highly qualified for the job.
