Following reports making the rounds that a train that departed Abuja for Kaduna had derailed leaving Passengers stranded,the NRC says it was a mechanical fault otherwise known as loco malfunction.
According to Mr Paschal Nnoli,Station manager, the operations manager said another locomotive had been dispatched to convey the passengers to Abuja.
“Loco had some issues not that it derailed, it was a mechanical malfunction. It couldn’t move further and assistance has been forwarded and they are heading to Jere to bring them back to Idu”.
