Reports reaching us say a Max Air aircraft with the Emir of Kano , Aminu Ado-Bayero on board made an emergency landing 10 minutes after taking off from the Malam Aminu Kano International airport Kano.
A Daily times report says the aircraft VM1645 had a 30 minutes delay before take off and started swerving 10 minutes into the flight causing the pilot toake a detour.
Sources say it was a bird strike that damaged a blade and after repairs, the aircraft took off again and arrived Abuja safely.
Director of maintenance of the aircraft Engr. Mohammed Mubarak who himself was on the same flight reportedly confirmed that it was a bird strike and not a near death incident as some passengers purported.
According to him the second engine ingested some birds which caused the blade to break.
