The Nigeria broadcasting commission has directed all broadcast houses to deactivate their twitter accounts.
According to a letter signed by Prof Armstrong Idachaba, acting DG NBC, failure to do so would be unpatriotic. He said the directive is in line with the duties of the NBC as contained in section 2(1)r of the NBC act which entrusts it with the responsibility of ensuring strict adherence to national rules.
Ecall that the FG has banned Twitter in Nigeria which has drawn much condemnation from many social media users and others.
