Chairman NIDCOM, Abike Dabiri Erewa has applauded a NIgerian-American Steve Ezeonu for winning the Grand Prairie city council runoff elections in Texas USA.
According to a statement signed by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the 22 year old disaporan got 51.2 percent of the votes leaving his rival Greg Geissner 48.8 percent.
Balogun reported Dabiri-Erewa as saying the victory is well deserved and a result of Ezeonu’s resilience, dedication, hard work and doggedness.
Dabiri-Erewa thanked the Nigerian community in Texas for giving him support during the campaign and urged him to fulfill his campaign promises.
