The Chairman Nigerians in diaspora commission ,Abike Dabiri-Erewa has condemned in strong terms the killing of Nigerian footballer,Kelvin Igweani by the police In UK.
Igweani was shot by police attending to a call out to a house where a child was found injured.
Dabiri-Erewa who described the incident as sad and unfortunate called on the UK police to carry out thorough investigation on the incident.
She condoled with the family of the deceased and prayed for the repose of his soul.
A statement by the Thames valley police says they answered a distress call to a property in Two Mile Ash North-East Milton Kanes on June 26 and found a man in his 30s dead with the little boy seriously injured.
They deployed tasers on Igweani who was found there before he was shot at.
