The Principal of Edo college,Mr Peter Edomwonyi has been suspended with immediate effect.
This follows a viral video on social media showing senior students who are writing the NECO examination seriously abusing junior students.
The house master of Akenzua hall , Mr Oamen Stanley is also indefinitely suspended with immediate effect.
The students involved in the abuse have been handed over to the ministry of justice for investigation and prosecution.
The Edo state government restated its commitment to ensuring schools are safe for students.
