As Nigerians continue to call for Justice for Sylvester Omoroni a student of Dowen college Lagos who died in mysterious circumstances after allegedly being bullied in school, the CEO Qtabye events, AfriqueChique has warned against sensationalism which according to her could serve as a distraction and get in the way of justice.
Victoria Nkong on a video on her instagram handle said she had delayed commenting on the issue while trying to get facts on the incidence before making a statement.
She lamented the conflicting narratives surrounding the incidence some of which she said simply do not add up.
Commenting especially on the version that alleged that the late Sylvester fell while playing football, she said it was an easy claim to verify as “nobody plays ball alone”. She said ” there must be someone who saw him playing or played with him to testify”
She tasked the police to keep the public updated as events unfold to avoid speculations and misleading stories from overzealous persons
AfriqueChique appealed to the Lagos state government to ensure Justice is served to the perpetrators of the crime.
