The Journalists Network for Ageing in Nigeria led by Comrade Maxwel Eseigbe, has congratulated the NUJ FCT Chairman,Comrade Emmanuel Ogbeche on his reelection into office.
This follows the just concluded elections which saw Comrade Ogbeche reelected for a second term.
According to a statement by the secretary of JONAN,Francisca Ogar, the network described Ogbeche’s victory as well deserved and a vindication for the doctrine of hardwork adding that the Chairman is a unifier who in his first term in office had not only ensured inclusion for all journalists irrespective of medium but had carried out far reaching developmental projects like the completion of the council secretariat and trainings, one of which gave birth to the Journalists Network for Ageing in Nigeria.
While thanking him for the tremendous support enjoyed in his first tenure, JONAN appealed for more support and cooperation to enable them deliver on their mandate of advocacy for the rights of older persons.
The Journalists Network for Ageing in Nigeria is a group of journalists working to end Ageism through advocacy for the rights of older persons in Nigeria.
