Following the emergence of a video online showing a train within the Itakpe Warri corridor on fire, the MD NRC ,Engr Fidet Okhiria who confirmed the incidence says investigation is on to determine the cause of the fire.
The incidence which took place during the yuletide saw the train stranded in the middle of the bush as captured in the video.
Three men were seen frantically trying to put out the fire using tree branches.
The MD NRC however says the fire did not gain access to the coaches and nobody was hurt.
According to him, only the rubber demarcating two coaches was affected. He further said the fire was put out in a safe place.
