Ex-students of Federal science college Ogoja are set to hold their first grand reunion since the first set graduated in 1994.
The President of the Alumni, John Otogbo who spoke to our correspondent disclosed that plans are underway to host the reunion in Ogoja sometime in July 2022.
According to Otogbo, the reunion tagged ‘Back to Our Roots’ is to be attended by all ex- students beginning from the pioneer set to date.
He further said the aim of the reunion is to reawaken the spirit of national unity which the students had imbibed by virtue of schooling in a unity school as well as create a platform for members to reunite with their classmates at Ogoja where it all started.
The Chairman of the planning commitee, Tochukwu Umeasiegbu while unveiling the program of events said the 3 day long reunion will feature a medical outreach, panel discussion on national unity and a gala nite among others.
He called on all Ex–Students to route expression of interest in attending the reunion through their class reps for onward submission to the central reunion commitee
Federal Science College Ogoja is one of two unity schools dedicated purely for science students and has been in existence since 1991 with about 28 classes having successfully passed through the school.
