Following the sackil of Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi and his Deputy Dr Eric Igwe by a Federal high court in Abuja, the People democratic party has submitted names for their replacement.
While addressing a world press conference at the PDP National Headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, National Chairman, Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu revealed that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) has submitted names of nominees to be sworn in as Governor and Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State.
He however did not disclose the names of nominees. He said “we are not going to release the names immediately. But the names will soon be made available to the press”.
Governor Umahi and his Deputy were sacked for cross carpeting from the PDP to the APC in a judgement delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo.
