Following a Federal high court ruling in Abuja, Edo State Local Government Election may not hold on the 19 of April 2022 according to EDSIEC time table.
The court ruled that the 15days notice given by EDSIEC to conduct the local Govt election by virtue of the amendment to the EDSIEC Electoral Law by the Edo State House of Assembly which was done recently, is against the new electoral Act 2022 as amended. Which states that 150 days notice should be given b4 the conduct of any election.
