The single titled Abeg is centered on the emotions following a heart break and is coined out of the french artiste’s effort to learn the Nigerian pidgin english.
According to Egbon Cass “the song is inspired by that last bit of begging you do just before a break up”.
” Remy and I were in his hotel room talking about how we had gotten our hearts broken and how humiliating it is to be struggling to beg a person who has already made her mind up about leaving you”.
“While he was in Nigeria he was trying to learn to talk like us so everyday he would learn a new slang and use it until her perfected it.
He had learnt what abeg meant that day so when the producer played the beat for the song the first thing he said was abeg abegā¦do not do this to me”.
