Contrary to Reports making me rounds that Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State contested and lost Senatorial primaries, the special advicer to the governor on media and publicity, Mr Chris Ita has debunked the allegations.
In a statement, Ita said the story “was the handwork of political desperados who are out to embarrass the governor”.
He said Governor Ayade is a presidential aspirant under the APC and will take part in the primaries come June 6.
A result sheet showing three candidates had surfaced on social media Saturday morning showing Governor Ayade scoring 52 votes defeated by a female candidate,Barr. Adams Cecilia with the most votes of the three contestants.
