In a bid to foster networking and strengthen bonds between members of the alumni, the Federal science college Ogoja alumni association is hosting a grand reunion of all ex-students on July 24 2022.
According to the President of the association, Mr John Otogbo, the reunion which cuts across sets will hold àt the school premises . This is to fulfill the longing of the ex-students to see their alma mater again and interact with present students of the school.
The Chairman planning commitee of the reunion, Mrs Francisca Ogar who gave insight into the nature of the program said, there would be meetings in the school hall to discuss the future of the alumni and the school after which the ex-students would take a tour of the school including their former hostels.
According to her, there would be a gala nite where some members of the alumni would recieve various awards and the pioneer principal of the school Obong Essien would recieve a post humous award of excellence.
The first batch of students from Federal science college Ogoja graduated in 1994. Since then, the school has churned out many professionals including Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, bankers , journalists and a host of others.
