As the Nigerian civil service union federal council elections draw closer, secretary of council Dan Otakpo has urged aspirants to embrace maturity.
Otakpo said this when mémbers of Team Progressives led by Comrade Hector Nnadi visited the NCSU federal secretariat in Abuja to submit their nomination forms.
Members of Team progressive, a coalition of contestants for different positions in the Nigerian civil service union federal council elections were in high spirits as they went as a team to the federal secretariat of the council to submit their forms led by Comrade Hector Nnadi who is vying for the office of national Chairman of council.
The team was recieved by secretary of council, comrade Dan Otakpo who assured them that council has no preferred candidate and admonished the team to display maturity during the elections.
Various contestants led by the DG of the campaign team highlighted the intention of team progressive to bring innovation and change to the table if According to them, the team with it’s 7 point agenda is set to turn things around if elected and willing to be held accountable for it’s promises.
Speaking on the motives for running for office, Comrade Nnadi said it was solely to ensure that things are done the right way.
The Nigeria civil service union, an umbrella body for civil servants in Nigeria was inaugurated in 1912 and has the might house Abuja as it’s secretariat.
