The Former Vice Chairman , Urue Offong/Oruko LGA and, APC Stalwart Elder Bassey Esin Sunday 21August held a closed door meeting whiçh lasted between 4- 5 hours with all the ward chairmen and, chapter Chairmen of APC in Uyo. Though the reason for the meeting was not disclosed to journalists,after the meeting which is suspected to be connected to the 2023 general elections, Elder Esin was spotted taking group photographs with the Chairmen.
Shortly after the meeting ,Elder Esin Paid a courtesy visit to, the President general, Essu Nlap Oro, a socio cultural organization of Oro youths, Ulap, Hon .Nuke Etim Nuke in his country home in Oron LGA.
According to Elder Esin, the purpose of the visit was to thank him for his good performance as president of Oro socio cultural organization. He also thanked him for always defending Oro The APC Stalwart informed him that his decision to always defend Oro may cost him some of the favors he would have otherwise recieved.
Elder Esin said the only person that would reward him for speaking the truth is the almighty God.
Responding, the president informed Elder Esin that he was delighted by the visit.
He informed Elder Esin that he had heard of his political travails and he is glad that Elder Esin is taking everything in good faith.
The president in turn lauded Esin as a good and very rare politician whose loyalty to those he chose to support can always be attested to.
He congratulated him for his high level of integrity as a politician.
