As INEC laments large numbers of uncollected PVCs in some states, a PDP chieftain,Chief Hart Modey has urged youths in Cross River state to be intentional about collection of PVCs.
Speaking to our correspondent from Saudi Arabia, Chief Modey said the youths especially need to pay attention to the new BIVAS technology which makes sure that votes are counted as soon as casted which means only possession of a PVC will guarantee participation in the electoral process come 2023.
He further condemned the trend of going on social media to run smear campaigns of candidates by supporters from various political parties saying that such practices can only degenerate into division that will outlive the elections and hinder progress and development in Cross River North .
Chief Modey called on the youths to shun thuggery and rather hold the leaders accountable for previous positions held as this will be a clear pointer as to who deserves to be voted on.He advices that Campaigns should be issue based and in cases of political office holders vying for positions , based on score cards.
