Following spirited attempts by some social media agents to vilify the opposition and twist words out of contest in a bid to demarket candidates other than thiers, PDP Stalwart, Chief Hart Modey has warned against political suicide.
In an exclusive chat with our correspondent from Saudi Arabia,
Chief Modey expressed worry over the level of disrespect shown responsible and duly elected leaders in the name of politicking. According to him, a situation where victory at a court of competent jurisdiction is refered to as ‘ stealing the mandate’ is totally unacceptable.
He further cited some writeups referring to provision of much needed amenities like solar light and water to places where there have been long lacking as insignificant as the height of ignorance.
Chief Modey reminded the youths that they too would aspire to elective positions in future and the social media never forgets. He cautioned against saying things that would work against them in future thereby committing political suicide while trying to help others.
He further reminded candidates to caution their supporters against causing unnecessary trouble and sowing the seeds of division as elections will come and go but life will continue.
