Jubilation as CBN increases Weekly ATM Withdrawal Limits from ₦100k to ₦500K

The Central bank of Nigeria has revised the ATM withdrawal limits announced on the 6th of December.

The apex bank had set N100,000 and N500,000 as the maximum limits for withdrawal over the counter by individuals and corporates respectively with effect from January 9, 2023.

However following an invitation by the senate to defend the set withdrawal limits and agitation from the people, the central bank has revised the withdrawal limits to the relief of Nigerians.

Godwin Emefiele had failed to appear before the house on the 15th of December and had been Re invited to appear on the 20th but he has once again declined the invitation to appear in person stating that he was attending to health issues abroad.

This comes after the courts ruling against the DSS motion to arrest the central bank governor on charges of alleged terrorism.
