“You will never have to pay to see me perform in Lagos” Wizkid Promises fans.

Multi award winning superstar Ayodeji Balogun better known as Wizkid promised fans yesterday that his headline show in collaboration with Flytime would be the last time they would have to pay to see him perform.

The singer shared this in a bid to correct the highly controversial post he had made when he announced the Flytime show. He had posted the poster for the show with the caption “Last time I ever perform in Lagos” which caused immediate stir on social media.

Speaking on it the Bad to me crooner clarified that given the love his fans at home show him it feels unfair to travel around the world and earn the way he does and still come home and charge his people to see him.

He further declared that the Flytime show would be the last time his fans would have to pay to see him as he would only do free shows for them henceforth.

In his words, “I have to start finishing my statements cos dem dey misquote me. What I really meant was, with the kind of love you all show me; it is very unfair to do shows around the world and come back to make you guys pay to wacth me. I wanna make a promise tonight; this will be the last time you will pay to see me.”

This declaration has been greeted with skepticism from fans and critics alike.
