As the countdown to the 2023 general elections begins, PDP chieftain, Chief Hart Modey has called on Northern crossriverians to empower themselves with their PVCs so as to play their role in deciding the future.
Speaking to our correspondent, Chief Modey warned against selling of PVCs or accepting money from candidates to vote as this would hinder the voters ability to take part in the election or make independent decisions as to who to vote.
He further reminded Cross Riverians that whatever choice is made now cannot be undone till the next four years or in some cases eight years hence the need to do the right thing while voting to prevent suffering under the yoke of bad choices.
Chief Modey urged the youth especially to shun violence and refuse to be used as thugs against one another as the children of those who hire them as tugs are protected and would never be sent to the field by their parents while they prey on helpless youths with the risk of losing their lives or imprisonment as contained in the newly amended electoral act.
