
Following wide spread complaints about the results being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission especially Ekiti state, former president Olusegun Obasanjo has called for a suspension of the results of the presidential election held Saturday February 25.
According to the ex-president who held a press briefing on Monday, the process was flawed and there is need for a rerun in areas where there are complaints of corruption like Ekiti.

Dino Melaye at the collation center in Abuja had raised alarm over the inability of the electoral body to see to electoral transmission of results as prescribed by the new electoral laws.
The letter titled: ā2023 Nigeria Presidential Election: An Appeal For Caution and Rectification,ā and addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari, urged the president to avert looming danger by ordering the cancellation of results in all elections that failed integrity test.

He called on the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, to save Nigeria from a disaster waiting to happen.
He warned against ” setting the country on fire” adding that results were manipulated and doctored.
He also condemned those who had accepted.oney to subvert the process referring to the money as ” blood money”.
