Cross River General Elections: Women Accountability Watch Congratulates Winners, Calls for Good Governance_Ada Nkong

Women Accountability Watch, a civil society group of women professionals of Cross River origin has congratulated all winners across the state in the just concluded general elections.

In a statement issued to journalists in Abuja, the group expressed optimism that the newly elected governor, Prince Bassey Otu and his deputy, Hon. Peter Odinga, state and federal legislators will unite accross party lines to take Cross River state to enviable heights.

A leader of the group,Lucy Apor condemned in strong terms the pockets of violence that characterized the elections and urged the youths to refrain from acts that could lead to division as well as loss of lives and property.

The group congratulated Senator Jarigbe Agom on his re-election, saying it is the reward for the good work he has done over the years and called on him to do more to uplift the people of Cross River North.

Others congratulated in the message include Godwin Offionor, Chief Peter Akpanke,, Barr. Charles Omang, Hon Rita Ayim and Engr Thomas Aruku.
