Members of Cross River Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF) have commended Governor Bassey Otu for appointing one of their own, Comrade Emmanuel Ogbeche as Chief press secretary.
In a statement signed by the chairman of the forum, Deacon Ignatius Ushie , they congratulated the new chief press secretary on his new appointment which they described as well deserved.
Pointing to his antecedents as chairman of NUJ FCT council which he held at the time of his appointment, the forum said he earned the position by his HARDWORK and commitment to the pen profession.
While expressing confidence in his ability to deliver on the new assignment,the forum stressed the need to work assiduously towards repositioning Cross River State’s image both locally and globally.
They wished him a successful tenure in office and assured him of the willingness of the forum to join forces with him to uphold the glory of Cross River State through extensive reportage of the activities in the state.
Cross River Journalists Forum is an umbrella body for journalists of Cross River extraction practicing in the FCT
