The Akwa Ibom State house of assembly was inaugurated today at the assembly chambers,Uyo.
The member representing Urue Offong/ Oruko State Constituency Rt. Hon. Mrs Precious Selong after her inauguration was received outside the State House Chambers by her people from Urue-offong/Oruko LGA who were in the State House of Assembly hall to witness the historic program of her innauguration.
The people came in their numbers across party lines to witness the great ceremony,. In attendance was the former Transition Secretary and publisher, Global Spy News, Elder Bassey Esin who served as the Transition Secretary when Rt. Hon. Selong was the Transition Chairman of the Council, Deacon Otuakak Emenyi a PDP stalwart from Urue-offong/ ORUKO, Chief (Mrs) Princess Blessing Esio Oquong Udo,Hon. Ukpong Isong ( Major) the former Leader of the LG legislature, Mr Okokon Mkpa the HOS of the Council with some members of staff from the Council, Hon. Victor Amah a former supervisor in the Council, Mr Victor Ese the former PDP Councillorship aspirant and Mr Uwe Bassey the former Ward Chairman.
Also at the occasion to witness the innauguration were many men and women groups from URUE OFFONG/ ORUKO LGA.
At the House of Assembly grounds in Uyo,shortly after the inauguration, the State House Member announced to her teaming supporters that her inauguration was for the good people of Urue Offong/Oruko State Constituency.
The Hon. Member then proceeded to take group photographs with the Urue Offong/Oruko people who came to witness the inauguration in Uyo.
After the group photographs in Uyo,the Hon Member Rt. Hon.Mrs Precious Selong invited all the people to proceed to Urue Offong/Oruko to attend the grand reception in her honour.
