The speaker, Cross River State house of assembly,Hon. Elvert Ayamben has condemed a gay party held at Ekorinim area of Calabar.
In a statement signed by Mathew Okache, Chief press secretary to the speaker, Ayamben said gayism is a crime and promised to bring all who were part of the organizers of the party to book.
He cited the same sex marriage prohibition bill which was signed into law by former president Goodluck Jonathan that prescribes a 14 year sentence for those caught in the act and 10 years sentence for those who aid and abate.
According to the statement, underage boys were also in attendance at the party
