Following reports making the rounds in some quarters that Obong Nsima Ekere,former MD NDDC is under arrests, a close ally, Chief Bassey Esin says he is free and home.
Debunking the rumours to our correspondent in a telephone conversation,Chief Bassey said the issues he had with the EFCC in 2022 had long been sorted out and he is not at this time standing trial.
Esin who urged the peddlers to stop spreading fake news said such reports are the “hand work of his political foes.”
Recall that Chanels TV had in May 2022 reported Obong Nsima Ekere ‘s arrest by the EFCC over N47bn NDDC diversion of funds through registered contractors which according to them was confirmed by the spokesman Wilson Uwujaren.
