BEHOLD, THE DIVINE ELECTION OF AN OUTSTANDING CHANGEMAKER AND PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE:

——-SALUTE TO A MOST WORTHY AND DISTINGUISHED CLASSMATE, SENATOR GODSWILL OBOT AKPABIO, CON, PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE OF THE 10TH NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE FEDEREAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

Senator Akpabio, Your election in 1984 as Speaker of Parliament of the Students’ Union Government of the University of Calabar was indeed the seed for the growth and emergence of a visionary leader, an inspiration to our generation and future generations alike.

Your achievements in office as Governor of Akwa Ibom State, which were simply phenomenal, unveiled you as follows:
(a) An Uncommon Transformer of people and communities;
(b) A “wonder,” a “miracle worker,” and a change maker, with an aversion to poverty, want
and underdevelopment with the fury of a tiger;
(c) A shining lamp set on a mountain top;
(d) The future of our Nation was considered to be in Akwa Ibom State;
(e) The Tsar of total transformation of his people.

With your election as President of the Senate, you have a unique opportunity and privilege to serve the people of Nigeria in the recovery of this nation.

You understand that you will share the burden of rebuilding our broken Nation and restoring hope to the hearts and minds of all Nigerians, with other arms of government.

Our nascent democracy shall henceforth witness a unique collaboration between the Senate and the other arms of government.

Most worthy and distinguished classmate, we share your joy. We celebrate you, and we salute you for blazing a trail in the realm of dreams and actually living them. You remain our most outstanding super brand who signposts the very best in us.

We most heartily CONGRATULATE you on your election as President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We pray that the Mighty God never leave you nor forsake you as you preside over the affairs of this 10th Senate.🙏Amen.

Signed
