APC chieftain and former vice-chairman Orue-Offiong Oruko local government area of Akwa Ibon state ,Chief Bassey Esin says no Court in Nigeria will tamper in anyway with the judgement of the presidential election petition tribunal.
In a statement made available to our correspondent, Chief Esin said “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the election and he remains the true winner”.
Responding to the reaction of the labor party to the judgement, he said “Obi feels that because he won an election matter in Anambra State he must win in presidential election Tribunal. But,it will not go his way this time around”.
“He cannot come from the 3rd position to become president through the Court. How many States did he win? How many members of the National Assembly did His party produce?
Even in the States,how many State House Members did his party produce Country wise?”
Commenting on Atiku who Esin alleged is the man who destroyed PDP , he said “there is nothing that he can achieve through PDP again.
He cursed the Party and,the Party cursed him when he left the party. The Party cannot produce a platform for him to rise in politics’.
He went on to fault Atiku’s decision to run for office after a northern president saying “he would not have contested for the presidency after his own brother Buhari just finished”.
If Obi wants to be president it might be in the future but, for NOW, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the President of Nigeria and shall successfully rule till the end of his tenure.
He said if Obi really desires to be the President of Nigeria in future,he should have accepted the defeat,congratulated Bola Ahmed Tinubu who defeated him and wait for another turn.
“Whichever Court they take the petition to,they will be defeated. IT IS NOT THIS ELECTION THAT THE LOOSER SHOULD EXPECT THE COURT TO TAKE THE VICTORY FROM THE WINNER FOR THEM”.
On the issue of 25% votes from Abuja for anyone who wants to be President ,he said Abuja is regarded as one of the States of Nigeria and,has no special status.
If winning election in a Candidate’s Unit,Ward, LGA and State is not mandatory for the candidate to win,why would Abuja become a mandatory victory point to become President?
Chief Esin further said when the time comes an Ibo man will be the President of Nigeria
