The PDP governorship candidate in Nasarawa state, Dr. Emmanuel Ombugadu has described the sudden death of the party’s National Woman Leader as a colossal loss to the party, Nigeria, and humanity as a whole.
In a statement he personally signed in reaction to the announcement by the National Secretariat, Dr Ombugadu noted that the PDP family and Nigerians have lost a woman of rare virtues whose antecedents would be difficult to fill in recent times.
According to the statement, Dr. Ombugadu expressed shock and devastated with the sudden news of the demise of one of our strong political pillars restating that the consolation is in the fact that she was sensitive to plight of the people and therefore lived a life of service worthy of emulation.
“Dr. Effah was not just a political woman leader but a mother, a role model, a nation builder who contributed immensely to the political stability of Nigeria, exemplified by her disposition in so many ways in partnership with everyone on any issue that had to do with our country without let or hinderance.
He said he and his assoliciates in Nasarawa state join other Nigerians and party faithful in commiserating with Effah-Attoe’s family, the people of Ikun in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State, the academic community, the Cross River State Chapter of our great party and the people of Cross River State generally.
We shall not only miss her wise counsel but also her motherly role while on the surface of the earth where she once lived like us .
We pray God to grant her soul eternal rest, the immediate family, the fortitude to bear the sad loss.
