On Monday, 20th November 2023, I had the respectable privilege of conducting the Monday Assembly during the staff briefing, alongside Mr. Boniface Ochikoloto Echono. This significant responsibility entailed overseeing the weekly news updates and critical thinking sessions conducted by the remarkable Press Club, ensuring their completion before the conclusion of the staff briefing. It was a seamless initiative, as the administration of the esteemed Mrs. Jennifer Sende had meticulously crafted a well-thought-out phase to minimize disruption to the teaching and learning process, as evidenced by the carefully curated timetable.

During this noteworthy occasion, I was presented with two letters of distinction, both thoughtfully endorsed by the Principal of the College, Mrs. Jennifer Sende. The first letter, titled “Letter of Commendation,” served as a heartfelt expression of gratitude from the College, recognising my unwavering faithfulness and tireless efforts as the Coordinator of Clubs and Societies for the past two years. This role entrusted to me by thePrincipal of the College through the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja aimed to commemorate the Day of the African Child. As a result of my steadfast commitment, the College proudly garnered two consecutive Certificates of Commendations in 2022 and 2023, a testament to the resounding success and impact of our endeavours.

Additionally, the second letter bestowed upon me the distinct honour of a “Special Letter of Commendation.” This letter eloquently extolled the depths of my affection for nurturing the development of my students and preparing them for global competitiveness. Specifically, it highlighted my unwavering dedication to facilitating their participation in “The Queen Commonwealth Essay Competition” in both 2022 and 2023. Thanks to our collective efforts, our students have received five Silver Awards, seven Bronze Awards, and numerous Certificates of Participation in this prestigious competition. Such recognition serves as unequivocal proof of the transformative power of education and our relentless pursuit of excellence.

Furthermore, I was deeply humbled to receive accolades for my relentless efforts in seeking scholarships and grants for the Best Graduating Student in the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), Master Alem Solomon Vershima, through the esteemed Elaine Education Foundation. In light of these remarkable achievements, both letters bestowed upon me the honorable title of “Teacher with Borders.” A distinction that reaffirms my unwavering commitment to broadening the horizons of education and empowering students beyond their wildest dreams.

In receiving these commendations, I am acutely aware that none of these achievements would have been possible without the grace and guidance of God Almighty. I am eternally grateful to Him for blessing me with the privilege of nurturing and inspiring my students, both present and past, who serve as the driving force behind my unyielding passion for teaching and caregiving. I would like to express my utmost gratitude to Mrs. Jennifer Sende and all the Principals of Federal Unity Colleges, I have had the honour of working with since 2005, as they have provided me with countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. To my dear friends and esteemed colleagues, your unwavering support and invaluable wisdom have become the foundations upon which I continuously strive for excellence. Even to those who may attempt to impede my pursuit of greatness, your judgments and obstacles have fortified my resolve and propelled me from strength to strength.

Finally, I owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to my beloved wife, Mrs. Ntam Uloko (My Village Tomato 🍅 ) cherished children, and extended family members. Your boundless love, unwavering support, and understanding have been instrumental in sustaining me through every endeavour. With our collective resilience and unwavering faith in God, I believe that success will forever be our constant companion.
