Nigerians have been urged to key into innovations in real estate and construction in line with Global trends.
Speaking on day one of the international real estate conference and exhibition,the convener Mr Franklin Ajayi says he sees Nigerians holding key roles on the global real estate scene in the next 7 years.

It was a melting point for information and updates on innovations in real estate and housing at the international real estate conference and exhibition as people from the academia, real estate industry, insurance, construction and other fields converged on the Nixon luxury in Abuja for the 2023 edition of the IRECE.
Some stakeholders at the conference who shared their opinion on the conference said it was the ideal gathering for people interested in growing in the real estate and housing sector.
Mrs Halima Abubakar an academia who spoke at the conference expressed confidence that it would have a positive impact on the sector She said ” I am impressed with what I have seen so far and I believe that this will go a long way in projecting the image of real estate in Nigeria.
Another stakeholder, who said the event has exceeded his expectations so far spelt out key takeaways.
” when you look at it, you tend to have educational content and the next thing is you see the opportunities that lie in the real estate “

The convener Mr Ajayi Franklin who spoke to our correspondent on the objectives of IRECE said several deals had already been closed at the end of day 1.
” Firstly,it is to bridge the knowledge gap within the industry and secondly to begin to prepare people for where the industry is going in the next seven years”.
“I am very sure that in the next seven years which basically is the foundation of real estate in Nigeria and Africa I see developers in Africa playing on the world stage and the conference is actually to help them to achieve that”.
He also said connecting and networking are a key objective of the conference.
The vice-president Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, Chief Andy Elerewe stressed the need for people in the industry to key into the association, forge alliances and leverage on relationships to grow.

According to him ” basically you can not be a developer or if you want to succeed in real estate, you just have to be a member of REDAN”.

Highpoint of the event was a raffle draw in Which an exhibitor won a 500sq metre plot of land.
The winner Mr Fidelis Okoro said he was short of words to describe his good fortune.
” The best way I can describe it is that Christmas came early for me,” he said.
Mr Ajayi said the event continues till 1st Dec 2023. and each day more winners would emerge from people who register and attend the conference.
Some exhibitors at the conference include AIBEN, Nuel Osilama Global, Spritze, AF Royalton,Axion,and Tangerine .
The exhibition stands offered various land and property deals, solutions in construction and insurance as well as investment deals.
