Reports reaching us say the Chief Press Secretary to Godwin Obaseki the Governor of Edo State has resigned. Mr Andrew Okungbowa, the Chief Press Secretary of Obaseki turned in his letter of resignation at noon today.
According to our source, as at press time, entreaties made by the Governor for him to rescind his decision was turned down. The reason for the resignation may not be unconnected with the internal squabbles in the Governor’s media team where unprofessional social media hangers-on earn more than professional journalists heading the Government media.
