Plateau Attack: Defence Minister, Humanitarian Minister, Service Chiefs Visit Affected L.G.A

…Vow to bring perpetrators to book

Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Muhammed Bello Matawalle and his counterpart ,Minister of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation Dr Betty Edu led a Federal Government delegation to visit and commiserate with the government and people of Plateau State over the recent attack in Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

It could be recalled that there was an attack on communities in three Local Government Areas of Plateau state recently where many lives were lost.

A statement by Mr Henshaw Ogubike, director information and public affairs of the ministry says at Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin they held a stakeholders’ meeting with the people of the affected communities.

According to Ogubike,they also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang where they held discussions on how to stamp out insecurity from the State.

While condoling the people of the affected communities, Dr. Matawalle reassured them of the Federal Government’s commitment to fighting all forms of criminalities that have bedeviled our communities and nation in general.

“Mr. President has directed that we visit you people and to reassure you that Military will restore peace in the affected communities and that the perpetrators of this dastardly act will be arrested,” he said.
