The Joint Negotiation and Consultative Council of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has appreciated the ministry for the efforts and attention to welfare issues of the Union
The Chairman JCNC Comrade Hector Nnadi said this at the Post Mayday Conference of the council in Abuja.
The Post Mayday conference with the theme ‘Impacts of government policies on Nigerian workers: oil subsidy removal in perspective’ was organized by JCNC in collaboration with the ministry.
Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary Mr.Emmanuel Meribole charged the workers to be proactive and utilize their initiative to move the sector forward.
According to him,workers must go beyond merely following instructions to asking themselves pertinent questions to achieve results.
On her part,the Director human resources applauded the resilience of the union and urged them to continue to be courageous in the face of challenges.
She cited the famous union song which says “the union makes us strong”, adding that she had always drawn strength from the lyrics.
On his part, Comrade Hector Nnadi who spoke on behalf of the union highlighted the challenges faced by workers in the wake of subsidy removal and registered their appreciation towards the permanent secretary for being a friend of the union and always giving them a listening ear.
He also thanked the Director Human Resources for her receptive attitude and encouragement to the union.
Certificates of recognition were given to the Permanent Secretary and the Director HR while the Perm Sec was robbed with the workers day uniform of the union.
The JCNC is an amalgamation of unions within the aviation sector.
