Breaking News: Wayas Corpse Arrives Abuja IN A FEW HOURS

Your Excellencies
Distinguished Senators
Our Elders and Leaders
My Dear brothers and sisters
Gentlemen of the Press

I bring you good tidings.
In the next few hours THE EAGLE WILL LAND from Heathrow Airport London Uk on board British Airways BA O83 to the international airport Abuja Nigeria at 4.40am

We’ll be taking custody of the remains of our elder Statesman, Rt Hon Dr. Joseph Wayas former Senate President and Former Acting President of Nigeria from the British Airway hangar here in Abuja.

This marks the first remarkable step taken by this group ( Who’sWho Forum of Northern Cross Rive ,to give him a befitting burial and bring the avoidable endless squabbles over his burial to final closure.

Let me be clear. All that this group has done was borne out of a patriotic zeal to intervene and assist in the burial processes.

The same goodwill that saw us intervene in the Belegete crisis and the recent one in Yala is what has spurred us on.

IfWe had no intention whatsoever to usurp any role that should be played by the family.

Therefore, our intervention should not be misconstrued as interlopers whose intention is to hijack the burial of the late No. 3 man in the Second Republic.

On the contrary, the truth is that we couldn’t sit back, fold our hands, say nothing and watch as the world laughs at us while his corpse is abandoned abroad for whatever reason(s).

However, if in the process of our intervention any untoward action or statement was made that is injurious to the family, we sincerely apologize.

At this point, I’m calling on all of us including the family to close ranks let us collaborate with the federal, state, local governments including the traditional council to commence and bring the final burial rites to a closure….

It is a win-win situation for everyone.

Our Hero will be laid to rest befittingly beside his ancestors and we will have a place to point to and say here lies our Hero

Let’s get ready to heave a sigh of relief together.

Let the countdown begin
