Appreciation: Chief Bassey Esin Visits Edok Oruko

In a bid to thank his people , the Newly inaugurated member of the Governing Council of Federal University Kashere Gombe state, Chief Bassey Esin was at his home town, Edok-Oruko to appreciate his people for their support during the campaign and general elections in 2023  which led to the emergence of  Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Speaking at  the gathering , Chief Esin highlighted the importance of Unity and of showing gratitude to the one “who stood by you and helped you to succeed”.

According to him that  is the way to foster peaceful co-existence, to sustain teamwork  and key into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola  Tinubu.

He thanked the President for appointing him into the Governing Council of the Federal University of Karshere,Gombe State saying that his appointment is an opportunity given to him by the President to contribute his quota towards quality Education in Nigeria as they work for the growth and development of the Federal University Kashere, Gombe in particular.

Chief Bassey also applauded the governor of Akwa-Ibom state, Pst. Umo Eno for his people-centred Leadership within his first one year in office.

He commended the Governor for his quality performance and the achievements recorded thus far, noting that his inclusive Governance has made him a model of democratic Governance.

Also, Chief Bassey Esin called on the people to support and stand by Dr Tukubok Etim Okpoyo to transit and become the elected chairman of Urue Offong/Oruko LGA.

He further said  this is the first time in the history of Oruko Development Area that a woman has aspired to occupy such a high position as that of a Council Chairman, and that the Council boss is working tirelessly to align the LGA with the Development strides  Pst. Umo Eno, and to reposition the local government area. He informed the people that the Eyoabiasang beach will be opened in no distance time to boost the economy of the area and also generate employment opportunities for the teeming youths of Urueoffong/Oruko LGA.

Chief Esin emphasized in his appreciation speech to his people that elections have come and gone, and this time is for inclusive governance to bring the dividends of democracy to the good people of Urueoffong/Oruko LGA in line with the RENEWED HOPE AGENDA of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the A.R.I.S.E AGENDA of Governor Umo Eno.

Chief Esin further emphasized the need for the Elders in the society to be respected no matter the kind of politics anybody is playing.

At the gathering, Chief Bassey Esin thanked the teaming excited crowd of people from Edok village which included the Royal Fathers from the Edok Council of Chiefs, Men, Women and Youths of Edok village, members of the Urue Offong/Oruko development Association, Edok branch, residents and all well wishers from his village for standing by him and accepting his advise to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and others during the 2023 general elections.
