You know we have people who pride themselves with being the first to go abroad and should be the only ones there so when they can come home to bury loved ones , they wear what we have never seen ( thank you internet)
My elder sister lives in the US
She never invited my parents to see her or visit even for medicals
but she goes to visit friends parents who visit once in a while
We have people who pride themselves with being the first to work in NNPC and if possible they remain the only ones
The first to be Professor and if possible the only
The first to be SAN’s and if possible the only ones
The first to be Governors and if possible the only ones
The first to be elected into office and if possible the only ones
The first to own airlines and ships and if possible the only ones
The first to be big men children and if possible the only ones
There was a vision ,and there is a mission for Who is who forum of Northern Cross River
Some people want to be the only ones to be on the platform
Because they are elites , they are lawyers, medical doctors,engineers, and academics to mention a few
They should be the only ones to speak on the platform
The only ones to be appreciated on the platform

I had been doing this for a long time now
And while doing it , I was publicly humiliated by two military administrators
Two civilian governors showed dislike to my style and approach to leadership publicly expressed it
I was arrested 23 times
Not long ago I was declared wanted for being a public enemy
Forget what people write about me , no one on this platform has been so insulted and humiliated like me
No one has been so hated like me
For every mistake I make, they come so hard on me but to borrow From James Baldwin “An identity would seem to be arrived at by the way in which the person faces and uses his experience”.
The other day I was listening to a Senator run me down before another !
He put the phone on speaker and I got discredited and described with unimaginable names
There was something he said that I love , anything he wants to do , he will ,we must stop him now.
He went to say Dr Wayas had been buried in the Uk
I thought like the gentleman he is , he would have put a call through to congratulate us after we brought the corpse but he hasn’t done so yet .
So back to why I bring up all the adverts .
I do not want anyone’s son or daughter to go through what I went through :
4 universities,10 years to get a degree .
Do you know even those who lost elections in the past still attribute their failure to me ?
Some have even sworn to the fact that the who is who is political and I’m planning something!
I’m 57 years old and most of my younger ones have become Senators , Deputy Governors and Governors .
My political time has passed in my opinion ( nothing for me again as we say in local parlance)
I am a teacher and I love my job .

Every one I dated and asked for their hand in marriage was sceptical!
